The data set includes the percentage of protein intake from different types of food in countries around the world. The variable that I chose is Animal Products and it describes the percentage of protein intake per country from Animal Products.

I found that both confidence intervals are very similar. The bootstrap confidence interval is sometimes slightly larger or smaller than the other. This shows that the bootstrap method can be just as effective as repeatedly taking random samples from the population. The average amount of protein intake from animal products is around 20% for all the countries in our sample. The assumption that the histogram of the original sample is approximately normal is met making the bootstrap method effective.
