Personal Information

Hello! My name is Eric Wimmel. I am a second-year student here at the University of Cincinnati studying Business Analytics. I have lived in Cincinnati my entire life, and have loved my time in the city. Outside of classes, I am also involved on campus as a part of the executive board for UCincyServe, an on-campus service organization.

Academic Background

As I said previously, I am a second-year Business Analytics student. After graduation, I am planning to pursue a Master’s degree in Data Science here at UC. Currently, I am a member of Lindner Business Honors as well as the University Honors Program.

Professional Background

Currently, I am working part-time as an at Great American Insurance Group, where I worked full-time this past summer. My primary responsibilities revolve around User Acceptance Testing for the insurance underwriting software used by my team. Previously, I also worked as an intern at Kroger Technology, where I did a great deal of work with Power BI as well as with other various intern-specific projects. I am also looking forward to starting a new position as a Digital Technology Intern at GE Aviation this summer.

Experience With R and Other Analytic Software

Prior to this class, I did not have any experience working with R. I am looking forward to learning much more about it in the coming semester! I have worked a great deal in Microsoft Excel and Power BI, and I have had some experience working in Python as well.
