My name is Matthew Kraus and I am a second-year student here at UC. I currently live in the Los Angeles Area. Some of my hobbies include playing soccer, hanging out with my friends, and watching football. I aspire to be a data analyst within the sport industry one day, specifically in the NFL.
I am a Sport Administration Major and a Business Analytics minor. I plan on graduating in the Spring of 2024.
In terms of work experience, I have been very fortunate to work in different parts of the sport industry thus far in my career. Here at UC, I worked a sport marketing job last year, which was a great stepping stone to becoming a student video assistant for the football team, which is my current position. I also work part-time for Pro Football Focus, the top analytics company for the NFL. I look forward to gaining even more experience in the coming months and years.
I have been taking a separate, asynchronous R course since the beginning of the school year, so I am somewhat familiar with some of the items that we have covered thus far. I am excited to build upon my prior knowledge in an effort to master R.
I have been exposed to Python in a course I took in the fall, but the class did not go in-depth with the language so I am still a novice in it.
