In our graphs, we are seeking to explore the relationship between numbers of audiences and winning rate. Based on our findings, the overall graph showed a weak positive correlation between numbers of audiences and winning rate. To better explore the relationship between those two, we have specified to separate numbers of audiences based on home field and away field. Based on the home field graph, we discovered a weak positive correlation between numbers of audiences and winning rate. However, the away field graph barely showed correlations between numbers of audiences and winning rate. In conclusion, numbers of audiences only shows a weak correlation on the winning rate, so we will not use correlation between numbers of audiences and winning rate to determine which team to bit.
This Bar graph shows that team rank, at least within the top 5 teams within the league, rank is not a factor of Revenue. If we looked at it on a broader scale there may be a large difference between the first five and the last five. When looking at just top five it does not show a correlation between the two variables because there are other factors at play like location and fan base. ***
The average ticket price per game per top five team shows the willingness to pay for each teams ideal fan base. These are going to be the people more likley to put money on their teams when betting thus making more money off of the teams with a higher ticket price. There is not a correlation between winning and a higher ticket price, but it is important data to have to understand the profitability margins of fans for different MLB teams.
Over the last 21 years the revenue of all top 5 teams has been on the rise. The Yankees led the race for a while until Covid hit.
