Objective
- This dashboard is to show the national statistics about victims of a range violence offences such as Homicide, Assault, Robbery and Others recorded by police through the year 1993 to 2021 in Australia, And, more detailed visualisation of crimes happening in 2021.
Targeted Audience
- The targeted audience of this dashboard is for those who are willing to know the detailed about crime/ offences occurring in Australia such as how many crimes, how many percentage of offences include usage of weapons, gender of the victims, etc. The dashboard is visualized simply so that everyone around the world regardless of occupation, education level and color vision can understand clearly and easily.

The source of the data is from Australia Bureau of Statistics (ABS) which can be accessed from the link https://www.abs.gov.au/statistics/people/crime-and-justice/recorded-crime-victims.
The excel files called “Victims of crime, Australia (Tables 1 to 8)” and “Victims of crime, states and territories (Tables 9 to 16)” are being merged, tidied and used in this. - The dashboard focus to depicts five different visualisation which are -
- Number of victims from offences in Australia categorized by states in 2021
- Location of the offence categorized by offences in 2021
- Number of victims categorized by offences in Australia from year 1993 to 2021
- Percentage of weapons usage in commission of offences categorized by offences in 2021
- Sex of the victims categorized by offences in 2021
