Olive Oil World Production

It appears that the European Union (EU) is the global center of the olive oil market. In average values, between the 2015/2016 and 2017/2018 campaigns, the EU was responsible for 67% of world production, while it concentrated 57% of consumption. In the same period, 99% of EU production was concentrated in 4 countries: Spain (66%), Italy (15%), Greece (13%) and Portugal (5%) (European Commission, 2020a), as illustrated below.
