We will consider each of our project outcomes as follows:

Involve a wider range of people:

  • Metrics: Numbers of people living in target postcodes actively involved in Blue Recovery.
  • Method: Collected on recruitment, with levels of involvement recorded throughout the project.
  • Target(s): 94 people per hub with targets regarding specific types and levels of involvement.

Suggested Graphics

People will have greater wellbeing:

Extent

  • Metrics: Number of beach sessions attended
  • Method: Staff and Blue Recovery Ranger to document at each event.
  • Target(s): 480 people sessions per hub (i.e. 30 people attending a single session = 30 people sessions)

Suggested Graphics As for ‘Involve a wider range of people’ but with people sessions

Evidence

  • Metrics: Numbers of people reporting increased physical and/or mental wellbeing
  • Data: Baseline data collected on recruitment, with follow up data collected every 6 months.
  • Target(s): Statistically significant evidence that project involvement is associated with increased physical/mental wellbeing

People will have developed skills:

Extent

  • Metrics: Total number of learning credits delivered, with initial training session = one credit.
  • Method: Staff and Blue Recovery Ranger to document as project stakeholders complete training.
  • Target(s): 250 learning credits completed per hub

Evidence

  • Metrics: Change in participant performance during before and after knowledge and skills test
  • Method: Staff and Blue Recovery Ranger to document as project stakeholders sign up and complete project.
  • Target(s): Statistically significant evidence that project involvement has resulted in increased knowledge and improved skills

People will have learnt about heritage, leading to change in ideas and actions

  • Metrics: Change in attitude towards local marine heritage as measured by 10 item pro-environmental behaviour scale.
  • Method: Baseline data collected on recruitment, with follow up data collected every 6 months. Comparison data from non-participants to be collected on project completion.
  • Target(s): Participants to show a significant positive increase in pro-environmental metrics that is at least twice as high as non-participants from the same localities.

Data to inform conservation of local marine heritage

  • Metrics: Number of expert-verified surveys submitted to national sharing platforms.
  • Method: Automatically collected by Blue Impact system during data submission.
  • Target(s): 240 expert verified surveys per hub.
