Overview

  • This project is the assigment of Coursera Jonh Hopkins Pratical Data Science course week 3.

  • A plotly graph was developed to inspect temperature differences on the city of Belo Horizonte on the last 2 weeks (14 days) recorded at 3 city stations:

    • Station 1: 1600 meters above sea level
    • Station 2: 1100 meters above sea level
    • Station 3: 600 meters above sea level

Temperatures on Belo Horizonte

Conclusion

  • The 2 variables, sea level elevation and temperature have a inverse proportion association. As one increase the other usually decreases.

  • As expected station on the lower altitude had higher temperatures and stations on higher altitudes recorded lower temperatures.

  • The city has a large range of temperatures because it’s differences of almost 1.000 meters in elevation above sea level. The max difference between the station at 600 meters above sea level and 1600 meters above sea level was above 15 degrees celsius on less then 20 horizontal kilometers distance.
