Essay

After analyzing several factors that might provoke the amount of hate crimes in New York, the positive note about this dataset is the inclusion of many variables that enable me to draw an analogy between those factors(religion, race, gender), and the negative part this dataset is flawed. Also, because I found in the hatecrimeplots, plot 2 and 4, the hate crime against Jewish is higher in almost the five counties that have the highest incidents of hate crimes. Additionally, when joining the two datasets, although Nassau is less populated than Bronx in 2012, but the incidents of hatecrimes are higher especially against the Jews. Therefore, I would like to study hypothetically what motivates those people to choose what type of hatecrimes they want to commit. Also, another thing I would like to do study the age range, color, gender, and social-class reported the highest hate crimes in the Jews community

Additionally, one thing I would like to follow up is to know exactly how one element tremendously influence another element in these datasets such as how does a particular county affects a crime type. Also, because the datasets are flawed and not represent the whole population of NY, the follow I would like to do is to look for something such as a survey for each year to have the population information.
