Biography

My name is Lynson Swa and I come from a little South East Asian country called Malaysia. I usually go by Lynx, like the cat. Hence the title.

I am currently a Digital Advertising Operations Manager at Digital AIM Media.

Academic Background

• Bachelor's of Business Administration in Marketing - Western Michigan University
• Master of Business Administration - University of Indianapolis
• Master of Science in Applied Data Analytics - University of Indianapolis

Professional Background

After graduating from my Bachelors degree in December 2018, I had the opportunity of working for a company called James Marketing Consultants as an account manager. Basic responsibilities include:

• Door-to-door sales
• Customer retention

Within 2 months, I won the Most Improved Award at the organization’s National Conference and was promoted to Team Lead position with increased responsibilities such as:

• Leading daily leadership training on best practices, sales strategy, and industry updates
• Managing a team of account managers to ensure growth and achieving set goals and expectations
• Traveling to and collaborating with account managers in sister companies around the nation to teach direct marketing and public speaking strategies

I also broke the record for largest profit amount in a single sale and most number of products sold in a single sale.

After a little over a year, I decided to further my education by enrolling in the MBA program at the University of Indianapolis. In the mean time, I part-timed at the YMCA of Greater Indianapolis up in Westfield, Indiana, where I was tasked with various Member Engagement responsibilities.

In February of 2022, I had the opportunity of working for AIM Media Indiana as a Hybrid Inside Outside Sales representative before being moved into my current position 3 months later. Now, what I do includes:

• Research digital solutions and services to stay current of future product and emerging industry trends
• Develop and maintain relationships with existing vendors to build partnerships
• Manage the delivery of multiple digital marketing campaigns
• Monitor existing campaign processes and make recommendations that impact deliverable
• Track timing, milestones, and budget of individual campaigns

My experience with R is limited to what I’ve learned in school so far. I would love to be able to expand my experience more in the near future soon.
