Introduction to Me!

Hello! I am a current MSIS student at University of Cincinnati. With work experience of two years in the field of data-driven tools, i am highly enthusiast about learning more in this domain and expand my knowledge curve. My primary skills are in SQL, R, Python and Web development.

Academic Background

• B. Tech in Electronics and Communication Engineering (SRM University, Chennai, India)
• M.S. in Information Systems (University of Cincinnati, Cincinnati, Ohio)

Professional Background

Currently I am a part time Teaching Assistant at University of Cincinnati, Department of Information Systems My primary responsibilities include the following :

• Partner with professors to provide teaching assistance for the course ‘Digital Technologies in Business’ by tutoring, grading assignments and holding office hours
• Help students with their coursework/lab work related queries and providing timely feedbacks
• Communicate with students to understand, discuss and provide solutions to their doubts

Previously, I was a Software Engineer(QA domain) with Capgemini in Business Intelligence domain for two years and performed following processes as part of my job :

• Worked under ‘Business Intelligence’ domain on data driven tools like Informatica, tableau, Oracle along with languages including python and Unix
• Prepared SQL and Unix code for scenario-based testing
• Transformed, cleansed and validated data flow from source applications (database, xml files, flat files) to target applications (client server, target database etc.)
• Designed testing scripts based on business transformation logic
• Interacted and worked with clients and other teams across the organization internationally to understand the requirements and solve any underlying technical issues
• Validated data flow for web services applications

Experience with R

I do not have any previous experience with R but i have been learning R currently as it is one of my courses for this fall semester at University of Cincinnati. I am confident with the basics at this stage and looking forwrd to learn in-depth concepts that can be applied to data analysation and manipulation processes.

Experience with other analytic software

I have previous working and learning experience with analytic tools like Oracle, Informatica, Python and Tableau.
