I am a graduate student at University of Indianapolis completing Master’s degree in Data Analytics, as well as a captain of UINDY Men’s Swimming & Diving Team. Originally from Poland, I moved to US in August 2019 when I received a swimming scholarship at Barton College in North Carolina.

Academic Background

Professional Background

Although I have not started working in the field of data analytics yet, I have gained some working experience during internships and summer jobs.

Working as a lifeguard and windsurfing instructor, I learned how to be responsible for my team and for others. Moreover, I developed strong soft skills while explaining to people of different ages how to windsurf and avoid danger in water.

At my previous college, I worked at the front desk in a library. I assisted with book searches and computer issues, as well as I checked in and out books and magazines. Being the first source of information in the library, I learned how to smoothly communicate with both customers and supervisors.

While completing my internship at Warsaw-West Veterinary Inspectorate as an Accounting Intern, I assisted with annual tax report and budget report, organized and prepared spreadsheets for financial statements, and helped with annual financial statements. However, most importantly I comprehended that accounting is not my thing. Hence, I decided that I want to develop in the field that applies analytics, statistics, and mathematics to solve real life problems.

Experience with R

I am still discovering opportunities that R language provides. My first encounter with R took place last year in Business Analytics class with Dr Snyder. Then I developed my skills during Analytics Solutions class. I am still looking forward to get to know what R offers.

Experience with Other Analytic Software

So far, I have learned how to use: * Tableau * SAS Enterprise Miner * MS Excel Solver At Warsaw School of Economics, I also used an econometrics software called Gretl which was helpful to complete one of my econometrics projects.
