A través de esta herramienta, pudimos comprender la base de seguros con la funcion count y evaluar todas las variables. Realizamos una regresión lineal para entender cuáles son los factores que tienen mayor correlación con el costo total incurrido de los seguros, resultando de esta forma: La edad, el género, tipo de reclamo, naturaleza de la lesión, región del cuerpo, parte del cuerpo, y salario promedio semanal.
Posterior a esto, construimos un modelo predictivo para predecir resultados futuros sobre el costo de los seguros con base en resultados historicos del conjunto de base de datos. Y con ello, el departamento de contabilidad podría tener un estimado sobre el costo total incurrido del seguro, que ayudaría a validar los estados financieros, y hacer ajustes según fuese el caso. R facilitó la visualización rápida de los resultados y de dicha información.
