Typical Elevator Speech: I am a focused senior with a keen interest in my future degree in and professional field of Business Analytics. While in college, I attained an MOS Excel Certification, knowledge in programming (C++, Apex, SQL), and experience in data management and visualization (Excel, Tableau). In addition to full-time college, I intern at Nationwide as a Personal Lines Field Product Analyst and previously held the opportunity to intern part-time with Western & Southern Financial Group as an IT Analyst.
Not Elevator Speech: Spent the first 20 years of my life in Beavercreek, OH. Attended Sinclair for the first two years of college before transferring to UC in 2021. Outside of work and school, I spend a lot of time working on school (hahaha). Additionally, I rock climb 3-4 times per week (currently at Climb Cincy), run + workout, cook, spend time with my girlfriend, and learn to code. My goals for this year include:

R Studio
This is my first class using R Studio! I’m very excited to learn the
basic of R, methods for data manipulations, and possible uses within my
current role at Nationwide:
Other Software
MOS Applications: As an almost graduated BANA student
and with experience in basic data analysis, operating Excel, SharePoint,
PowerPoint, and other Microsoft Applications stands as a
necessity.
SQL: Used daily in my current role at Nationwide to create and execute queries for Tableau reports, ad hoc analysis, and special project analysis. Most people in my department don’t know or want to know SQL (they have a UI built by Microstrategy for basic reports), so I spend a lot of time learning database structure and SQL code. Very useful! (Disclaimer: I still consider myself a beginner)
Tableau: Also used daily. I work to create Tableau reports that eliminate long-term manual reporting. Before developing a Tableau dashboard, I tend to create a list of business requirements (to practice software dev) in order to define and limit my scope.
Salesforce: The IT Analyst role with Western and Southern provided time and opportunity to train as a basic Salesforce Admin and Developer. Starting with a background in business, the process has been slow; however, I’m drawing close to taking the first developer exam!
