Self Intro

I am Vamsi Krishna Kalepu and I am currently pursuing MS in Information systems from University of Cincinnati, Carl H. Lindner College of Business, Cincinati, Ohio, United States.

I have a prior work experience of almost four years in IT field. Eventually I developed interest in knowing how a organisation or system works, also to understand how information systems are helping to take business decisions. Thus I decided to pursue the masters course in Information systems to improve my business acumen with technology insights.

Academic Background

Professional Background

I worked as a service management analyst for a service delivery based project providing IT infrastructure services to a manufacturing company. My major role was to ensure ITIL process guidelines are followed by all the technical teams while performing any IT task and was skilled with IT service management which is combination of Major Incident Management, Change management, Problem management. I had opportunity to share SLA KPI metrics to clients and provide them with insights on the trends of IT services which we were providing. We were part of continual service improvement where we planned multiple new initiatives for improvement of services provided. I closely worked with service now team is publishing multiple dashboards in the service now tool based on user requirements.

Experience with R

My role was sharing client deliverable and managing technical teams for project delivery, which involved majorly managerial skills. I recently started learning R just prior to the MSIS Fall 2022 course started and had no prior experience with R. I am excited to learn R and use it for next due course.

Other analytical tools which I used in work experience was MS Excel through which I used to create pivot tables, used conditional formatting and created charts to provide insights visually in the monthly service meetings.
