Introduction to Me!

Hi I am Neha! I’m currently doing a Master’s of Science in Information Systems at the University of Cincinnati. I chose this program because of its curriculum, which is a blend of technical and business concepts. The industry practicum helps students work on real-world projects, gaining the necessary practical knowledge and developing hands-on skills.

Professional Background

I have been working as an application development senior analyst at Accenture; my work was in the role of an ETL developer, where I got to work with a massive amount of data to extract, transform and load them as per the requirement. Executed customer subscription data extraction, migration and delivery for a UK-based client. My work included:

• Designed and developed ETL code with SQL and Netezza to load and transform millions of source data from various formats into a data warehouse.
• Designed and developed new UNIX shell scripts and Python scripts to automate data loading processes and enhanced existing ones for better performance for database management systems using SQL and Netezza programming.
• Worked on Ab initio Tool to create graphs for data flow and transformation.
• Leveraged Google Cloud Platform (GCP) tools involving cloud data ETL using Google Big Query, Google Cloud SQL, and Python scripting to achieve faster data retrieval and visualisation.
• Presented design solutions confidently to clients weekly, communicated the considerations clearly and responded efficiently to any clients’ queries.
• I have worked on some tasks where I provided data-driven business solutions to retail clients for the past four years.
• Trained a group of 4 new members with SQL, SSIS data flow process and execution, making the team project ready in a month

Experience with R

I am a beginner in R. I am currently learning R programming along with the course Data Wrangling.

Career Objectives

For my long-term career goals in data and management, I would like to take my expertise to the next level with advanced data analysis and project management knowledge, improving my technical and business skills. After my post-graduation, I plan to resume my career in the field of Data and Information systems as a data analyst or data engineer or in senior positions such as Manager/Lead for the Analytics team, where I can play a crucial role in decision-making through data-driven insights.
