Hi! My name is Anant Sharma. I’m a third-year Business student studying Business Analytics. I currently work for Great American as the BA Intern but I have worked around a lot. My career started in Real Estate with my Dad where I watched him create a business on his own (super cool!). The extent of my coding knowledge is minimal but I’m learning now because I want to branch into a more technical field than BA which is a new goal of mine. I was born in Cincinnati, OH and have lived here my whole life in Blue Ash about 25 minutes away from campus. In my free time I enjoy working out, playing chess, playing video games, and dancing(here’s a video of me dancing in LA during May of this year at nationals).I’m in the yellow with the beard.

Currently I work as a Business Analyst on the Property and Casualty IT Services team at Great American. I’m working software where I aid the development of new features on our application Claims Center used by Corporate Claims. My job is to make sure the client(Corporate Claims) is happy and the projects on our team are both on task and good enough for the customer. I’m the first and the last eyes on the project and to be honest a good amount in between as well. I’m constantly testing environments made and becoming the expert on our environment by reading long documents and asking 10,000,000 questions to my team. The work isn’t terribly hard but I enjoy learning logic and workflow and ways to be more efficient in this. Great American also provides me with a great work-life balance which I don’t think I would find at another company any time soon. Previously I wasn’t employed by a big corporation but working with my dad to help him build his Real Estate Company. I didn’t have a specified role but just soaked in information and helped bounce ideas off of him to push him further. He said I was being helpful just being around and inputting my thoughts and that’s what I spent about 5 years doing.
This section should be short, I’ve had absolutely 0 experience with any coding language. I’ve taken some basic classes and understand a little bit of syntax. I play a lot of chess and know logic a little well, every programmer I know who also plays chess say they’re similar skills so that the extent of my knowledge!
