All data is since 2014 (the year I joined the league). This is due to me only being able to access the data that far back. Player scoring data was only able to be loaded for the last 3 years due to ESPN restrictions.

What has everyone’s average final standing been?

Brian has the best average placement but has never won the league. He’s followed by Josh who won the league 3 times, but he was also in the bottom 5 four times. Kenny is in third with 7 out of 8 top 5 finishes and one league win.

What about points for?

Since our scoring has varied over the years I calculated the percent difference of each person’s points for from the mean points for that year for and use this number.

Mean Percent Difference of Points For from Mean
user_name Mean_Percent_Difference
Adam Zalewski -0.64
Alex Cromley 0.13
Brian Abbate 1.29
ELi Petersheim 3.94
John Norton 2.16
Josh Petersheim -1.82
Kenneth Norton -0.41
Lance McDanel -5.80
Sean Slyman -0.83
Tanner Harmon -0.18

(Graphs were not cooperating here) Lance has the worst percent difference with some bad initial seasons and Eli has the highest with one outlier +18% season and only one negative % season. Josh won the league in 2020 with a -6%. Fantasy is literally RNG.

So, how do people place based on their draft pick?

The higher draft picks tend to do better with placements but no one has won the league drafting at positions 6, 8, 9, or 10. Also, no one has one the league when drafting 1st.
