This is a pretty rough draft, I’ll be adding updates at this same link going forward unless a new analysis requires something more sophisticated.

Footprints

I’ll need to talk to Aaron about the missing downtown Orlando, I’m assuming that hole is because it was developed before 1960 but I want to confirm/handle appropriately.

Summaries by Foot Print

I realize the access numbers on the the suitability weight not he total jobs reachable per cell, but this is still a fairly decent indication. High numbers are better with 1 representing the cell with the highest access and all other cells having their values as cell access/max access.

I think the most interesting trend is that in the 2018 access and Just value the trend holds that new footprints have lower values, except in the 2018 footprint which is higher. I’ll work on a graphical version of this just to better illustrate the trends.

There does appear to be a fairly linear relationship between capacity and just value per acre, when both variables are log transformed (this is why there are striations on the x axis). It is not the strongest correlation with an R of 0.3675979 likely from the decently high variance but it is statistically significant. The relationship does not appear to be especially strong for any given footprint.
