Objectives

To predict potential blood donors.
To optimize blood supply in clinics and hospitals.
To estimate the location and demand needed to supply.

Datasets

The project is using two types of data:

Blood donors dataset, obtained from https://www.openml.org/d/1464
Blood donation campaign dataset, obtained through web scraping from https://pdn.gov.my

Methodology: Cross-Industry Standard Process for Data Mining (CRISP-DM)

It is an open standard process model that can be implemented in any Data Science project irrespective of its domain.
This standard allows projects to replicate (reproducible research).

Conclusion & Future Enhancement

Conclusion

The data product (ShinyApps) is intuitive and user-friendly.
Changing the datasets and then prediction results will be available at your fingertips.

Future Enhancement

Contact details of each patient should be included in “Blood Donors” tab so hospital or clinic can immediately contact the blood donors.
More user-interactive features need to be added into the ShinyApp.(e.g. sliders)
