Research Questions

  1. What is the distribution of Covid-19 confirmed case, mortality case, vaccination coverage in all states of Malaysia?

  2. What brand of vaccine is used in each state?

  3. What is the relationship between vaccination coverage and the ICU admission?

  4. What is the relationship between vaccination coverage and the mortality rate?

Data Science Methodology

For this study, we gathered the the cumulative number of confirmed case, mortality case, and vaccination coverage of each state. Then we compare each states vaccination coverage, to analyze the mortality rate and Covid-19 ICU admission.

Findings

From the analysis, we found there is negative correlation between Covid-19 ICU Admissions and Percentage of Vaccinated Population. There is also negative correlation between Covid-19 Mortality Rates and Percentage of Vaccinated Population. This is evidence that more vaccinated population significantly reduce the severity of Covid-19 medical outcomes in admission of ICU and mortality. Hence, this shows that the vaccination program is successful in Malaysia.
