Daily New Covid Cases in Australia

• It can be observed that daily new covid cases were almost negligible as compared to the high values that started to occur by the end of year 2021.
• The daily number of cases decreases sharply by the end of February,2022 after which there can be seen both upward and downward trend in numbers.
• These irregular trends can arise from several factors including new variants of highly transmissible Corona virus.

Daily Covid Deaths in Australia

The above line graph shows that there were few instances when death toll due to covid was high else the trend has seen a small number of deaths which cannot be ignored despite small numbers.

New Covid Cases in Oceania Region

It is significant for a comparison on basis of Covid Cases among Australia and its surrounding countries in the continent.

The plot shows that Australia and New Zealand exhibited high number of daily covid cases which can be attributed to the large populations of the two countries compared to the rest in the Oceania region.

AUSTRALIA vs Other Big Nations

To better understand the condition of Australia, its comparison is quite significant to be made with some major countries.

It can be observed that the total covid cases till 2022-06-06 were around 8 million in Australia as compared to huge numbers of other nations. Considering the population difference, the Australian numbers are quite huge which indirectly questions the Australian Health Care System and the Government’s role in controlling the pandemic.

Talking about the role of Australian Government, the following plot depicts some significant numbers related to the tests conducted as compared with the new daily cases.

The plot shows a huge difference between daily tests conducted & new cases arising. This refers to the excellent work done by the Health Care system to conduct these many tests on a regular basis.

Total People Vaccinated vs Daily Covid Cases in Australia

This shows that the total number of people being vaccinated has seen an exponential jump which makes it quite clear how well & efficient the Australian Government and the Australian Health Care System has been in safeguarding the well being of the people living in Australia.
