As I began to research apartments in my new home, Chicago, I wanted to compare it to apartments in Cincinnati to see what is common that really no one likes about apartments, what is better about a big city apartment versus a small city, and see if anything that I did not thing of might play into affect of what city is better to live in.
I began my investigation by pulling 200 tweets containing the word apartments in Cincinnati using the GeoCode of Cincinnati, and did the same with Chicago. This randomly pulled tweets of different users tweeting about their apartment experiences in both cities.
Now that I have 400 tweets to analyze. I want to break it down and run further analysis to see what people exactly are tweeting about in reference to either city and their apartments.
Above are two small tables listing some of the adjectives and whether they positively or negatively talk about the apartments in the prospective cities.
In these graphs, I used two different word comparisons to look at the positive and negative words within the reviews for each city. As it can be seen, there are not any negative connotations with Chicago whereas, in Cincinnati there is more diverse language when talking about the apartments in the city.
Above I just wanted to look at the positive comments about both cities, again Chicago has significantly more positive reviews than Cincinnati.
