Introduction

The Terra blockchain has recently been added to Thorchain, and with it, its two most popular assets: LUNA and UST. In this dashboard, we compare the volume and swap count of the LUNA and UST pools in their first three days with the first four days of the DOGE pool, another recently added asset/chain.

All data used for this dashboard comes from Flipsidecrypto’s thorchain.daily_pool_stats table. In the spirit of reproducibility, the code underlying this document can be found here and the query to get the data can be found here.

LUNA & UST vs. DOGE

In the charts below, we show the total swap volume in USD (measured as the USD value of the origination asset) and the total swap count for each pool on the first four days since they were inaugurated. Day 0 marks the day of pool inception.

As we can see on both charts, LUNA and UST, especially the latter, had a better start in Thorchain than DOGE. UST surpassed USD 8 million in daily volume by its second day, while LUNA surpassed USD 3 million.
