While searching the recommender system, we always think the seller is pushing the product to the consumer or user. But I found an interesting recommender system from Facebook, and that is Facebook recommends the consumer is advised to merchandizers. The story “Say anything? behind the scenes of suggested responses.” by Angela P and Talia L. promotes Facebook’s product to the merchandizers. Facebook uses sentiments analysis to learn from the consumers and promote the right consumers to the merchandizers. Here is how facebook process its sentiments analysis. Facebook will collect the data from the comment, filter the comment data and categorize the comments for the sentiments analysis. After that, they will localize it for the machine learning model. And finally, the system will recommender the potential consumer to the merchandizers.
