Reporting Rates

The reporting rates for for Community health

are still low 22% compared to 50% of the OPD

Monthly Report to for the same period.

The reporting rates were best in West Nile ,

Teso and Acholi ( 77 % , 38% and 30% respectively )

and lowest in kampala , North central

and Kigezi , ( 1 % , 7 % and 7 % respectively) .

Child Health

Deaths of children below 5 years - Q4- 2021 | Reported from Community

10 Districts reporting the highest number of deaths Under 5 years in Q4 2022

19 districts are reporting higher under 5 mortality rates than the National (43.3 per 1000 live deliveries).

Majority of these are in northern Uganda , may be because northern Uganda has the best reporting rates.

The surge in deaths in children below 5 years in the districts could because of reporting errors .

Clearly there are several possible challenges with data quality that might explain the high infant mortality rates

The districts where VHTs treated the most Malaria cases are ;as seen above, 3 are from WestNile and majority from Northern Uganda.

Cummulatively , there has been an increase in the number of malaria cases seen by VHTs
