To live is necessary to learn to live because living is life then enjoy your life
Today, I am going to talk about a great experience, visiting Chirripo mountain and what implies.
Hiking at the highest mountain of Costa Rica
Chirripo hill have a height of 3.820 m above sea level, it was stablised as national park sice 1975. For many year it has allowed the entry of many visitants of all parts of the world and do a variety of activities like running, trekking, climbing, hiking and much more. Before to continues it's important to know what is the difference between trekking and hiking. Trekking means to make a long or difficult journey while hiking is the activity of going for long walks for pleassure if you are interested to go hiking. If you are planning to visit the ceiling of Costa Rica, I will recommend follow next steps:
If you desire to do for next six months, you will trainning every week and try reach the top of some hills at least one time per month. Do it progressively, we don't want you avoid your dreams soon and never really.
I will recommend you drink water every day between 6 and 8 glasses or its equivalent in 1 liter.
If you have some bad habits like eating unhealthy or sleeping irregularly as usual occur, I will recommend you create a routime with a nutritionist as first option or a trainer too, both are exceptional.
If you don't have good healthy measures, I won't recommend to go hiking until you improve it.
If you decided to visit Chirripo Hill you must be buy a ticket from the official website and choose your preference dates - it's necessary to enter to the national park legally - and being to prepare as soon as possible. I suggest to analyze the next options:
If you pretents live a fully experience(recommended): acquire a tourist package that includes a place where you stay in San Gerardo de Rivas for the first and last day, at least two days at the base camp who is situated 3.400 meters above of sea level, at least two foods and a full guide experience to visit the most important places: Ventisqueros Hill to see the sunset - simply spectacular-, a beautiful walking at the Rabbits Valley, Terbi Hill and Crestones Hill and finally the best experience visiting and climbing the Chirripo Mountain before sunrise. If you don't had experience with hiking before, you won't do risk activities like to walk alone or walk away from the group.
If you pretends go trekking and to complete a challenge called "El Asalto", you will buy one ticket which was validated when you enter to the national park. El Asalto implies a enormous effort physically and mentally, it's consists in walk until top mountain from San Gerardo de Rivas and return the same day. I had a experience with this challenge 1 year ago and it was of the most difficult things that I have done in my life.
Regarless of the kind of activity you will desire to do:
You should wear hiking shoes, a jacket, some bandages and a lot of repellant due mosquitos.
You shouldn't take innecesary risks. You must be follow safe instrucctions, remember that the nature will be respect always.
If you think that the weather conditions keep forecasts mentioned by experts, I won't recommend you follow it and be prepare for any situation (wind, rain, sun and more)... try to keep in mind Murphy's law and anticipate to be exposed to a bad situation or worse, that you don't achieve your goals and dreams.
If visited for firs time, you would enjoy a lot this unique experience that you will remember for rest of your life. Despite of I visited many times, always I enjoy as the first time.
Finally, for next days I will go to publish information about covid-19 constrictions.
I hope to help you with your next adventure.
