The graph presents a general picture of all gas flows in the EU countries.
On the top chart (horizontally) are the recipient countries, on the right (vertically) - suppliers. The countries are sorted by the volume of gas received and supplied, respectively.
The central graph is a map of the interrelationships of gas flows between countries. The dot size reflects the relative share in the total volume of gas flows in the EU countries.
For example, Germany ranks first in the volume of gas flows received (from the Russian Federation, Norway, the Czech Republic … vertical crossings) and second as a supplier (Czech Republic, the Netherlands, Austria … horizontal crossings).
The intersection of a country with itself indicates either domestic production or supplies from liquefied natural gas hubs.

Analysis of gas flows in Germany.
Top chart.
The upper graph shows quarterly gas flows in the context of sources and counterparties. The graph also gives an idea of the dynamics of the balance of total gas flows for the year.
Each quarter consists of 4 sub-columns, in order: domestic production, supplies from LNG hubs, gas imports and exports. Each such column is colored in the color of the country of the counterparty.
The height of the columns reflects the volume of gas flows.
So, for example, it is clear that the Czech Republic acts both as a supplier and as a recipient of gas.
Bottom charts.
The bottom left chart shows net gas flows for 2020 by counterparty. Russia and Norway occupy the 1st and 2nd places, respectively, from the side of the positive balance, the Czech Republic - the first - from the side of the negative.
The lower right graph gives an idea of the distribution of flows by source.
