Summary

This presentation was made as part of the course Developing Data Products by Johns Hopkins University

This peer assessed assignment has two parts:

  • A Shiny application deployed it on Rstudio's servers.
  • Reproducible pitch presentation about your application.

About the app

The application asks for name and age of the user and then displays a greeting message with the name of the person and the year that they were born.

Some code of the app

Basically the app stores the name and age and calculate the year when that person was born by subtracting the age to the current year (is not going to be exact because is not taking in account the birth month)

Example of the code that performs the app:

name <- "Elisa"
age <- 62
year <- as.numeric(format(Sys.Date(), "%Y"))
paste0("Hello ", name, ", you were born in: ", year - age)
[1] "Hello Elisa, you were born in: 1960"

Where to deploy
