The mode is the value that maximizes the PDF but that's as far as I can go with that, it is a closed form solution though.

#problems with the original graph. I don't really have much of a point of reference for USA or Eurozone because the data is only 1996-2006. I graphed the "Real GDP per Capita". This way we can try to get an idea of the standard of living that these people enjoy. I also took the dates much farther back so we can get an idea of what is a normal growth rate, rather than looking at a small window of time. I prefer viewing GDP in log scale, again for the same reason, it allows me to better see the growth rates of each GDP level.Another problem that I tried to fix was grouping countries into "Euro area". I assume this means the "Eurozone" but I graphed every country in the "Eurozone" because that allows us to see which countries see growth and which do not, we would be unable to see where growth was happening if we used an average growth rate.
