Introduction

Proc Report in SAS is well known for presenting static text tables; less so for its capability of presenting embed images. I think is because the lack of examples on its ‘full’ potential! A while ago I posted an example done with the flextable package in R and wonder how to do similar in SAS. The table below now is such an example in RTF; produced from Proc Report. I don’t think this is as flexible as the PDF destination but it does have some advantages. That is you have more options for inline formatting with RTF via the control words. Also RTF emit from Proc Report is much easier to post-process than PDF.
