Preface

This is a poster I presented at the PSI-EFSPI 2008 conference. The method is simple yet in my opinion beautiful. I have subsequently seen a couple of examples of the same principle. Essentially we just tag a unique marker at a location of a text file (i.e. HTML, RTF etc.) and replace the marker with value on post-processing. Here I am using SAS but obviously you can use any other languages; for example R, Python etc. Note we can save Excel or Word file in HTML format and with Word file, RTF format also. Example of other applications of this method could be – consort diagram, finance report, dashboard, invoice etc.!
