Biodiversity App

The objective of this application is to be able to see on a map the times a certain species is observed in a certain territory.

The data for the exercise was taken from here, filters were made since the data set is huge.

How does it work?

The app allows you to search either by the scientific name or by the vernacular name, when clicking on the search icon, the names that match the given name appear and after selecting a species, the map, the photo of the species and 3 basic descriptive statistics graphics.

Data

For the construction of the application, two databases were used that can be obtained from the link that was previously shown.

  1. multimedia: this database contains photos of the species observed at a certain time.

  2. occurrence: this data set contains the times the species has been observed together with its geographic coordinates.
