Hello!

Welcome to my website made using RMarkdown and R Pubs. This site is a blend of professional and personal interests. I enjoy leveraging data to make an impact for organizations and people’s personal lives. If there is something you are passionate about that you think we should callobrate on, reach out.

Professional Experience

JetBlue: Since 2016 I have been leveraging analytics to make an impact at JetBlue across a wide range of domains. I am responsible for data infrastructure, automated reporting & dashboarding, and custom research on our People Analytics team.

Diversity, Equity & Inclusion: My research has spanned a wide variety of areas focusing on identifying sources of bias and inequities. This research has informed programmatic changes and organizational commitments. I have provided deep dives and consultation on hiring/selection, internal mobility, performance management, attrition and many other areas.

Dashboarding/Reporting: Using a variety of tools I have been able to give insights to business leaders, and ensure data is utilized in as many decisions as possible. I have experience in a number of tools to automate and provide rich visualizations whether it is programmatically in R, or leveraging a pipeline across datawarehouseing and bi tools like Tableau and Spotfire. I am able to identify paths to automation and scale output.

Hofstra: At Hofstra I obtained my MA in I/O Psychology, and was able to spend time contributing to research projects focused on Team Cohesion, over my two years there and additional time after.

Bethpage FCU: Working on the Learning & Development team my main focus was to implement a new L&D system.

Fun Data Stuff

Restaurant Reviews

The below utilizes gsheet and leaflet to pull in data from a google sheet and then plot it on a map. When I was younger I worked in the restaurant industry and I love experiencing different types of cuisine and styles. I decided to create a google form where I could record my opinions about restaurants. This form deposits the data onto a google sheet which I then can pull from using code below.

gsheet allows you to read in tables into R very easily. This package does require the sheets be publicly shared. Leaflet is a well known package for plotting on maps. Along with my restaurant ratings I needed the longitude and latitude to plot restaurants accurately on the map.

Taste: 1-5 with 1 being extremely un-tasty and 5 being extremely tasty. Value: 1 is expensive and 3 is cheap.

TSA Traffic Tracker

The charts below utilizes web scraping via the rvest package and tidyverse/ggplot to structure and plot the tsa traffic.
