The mean is a commonly used measure of central tendency in statistical analysis

• The idea is to create a Shiny App that allows users to explore the concept of the mean
• Without calculations, users can learn to visualize and approximate the location of the mean

A random distribution is presented to the user

• The user can change the number of sample points in the distribution using a slider control
• The user can guess the location of the mean by clicking on the graph to drop a marker
• The user can compare the guess with the actual mean by selecting the “Check Answer” button
• The user can reset the graph and try again by hitting the “Try Again” button
