Actual vs. Expected Wins

Management Skill

One challenge of fantasy football is knowing which players to start, and which to sit on the bench. Minimizing these “potential points” of players on the bench is a skill that sets the great teams apart from the rest.

In the graph below, the metrics are defined as follows.
Roster Strength: Total potential points scored throughout the season if the optimal lineup was used each week.
Management Skill: Minimal potential points left on the bench.

Green: Draft pick performing well.
Red: Draft pick performing poorly.

Keeper Summary

Each year, you can select up to 3 players on your prior roster to “keep.” In order to keep a player, you must sacrifice a draft pick. Below is summary of the players currently available to keep for next year, and their associated cost.

Specific details on keeper rules are included in the table footnote.

Current keeper rules (can be refined next year via vote):

  • Not-Keepable: 1st and 2nd round draft pick cost
  • Not-Keepable: Players not on roster during regular season
  • Cost (1st yr kept): Round drafted
  • Cost (subsequent years kept): Prior keeper cost - 2 rounds
  • Minimum cost: 8th round pick
