Introduction

  • Covid 19 pandemic has hit hard on patient’s health. People’s income to living standards has changed drastically in the worst hit Covid year, 2020.

  • In order to quantify the impact of Covid 19 pandemic on people’s health, we use Life Expectancy as a metric. Life Expectancy gives us a broader picture to analyse the people’s health, based on their lifestyle and their immunity power.

  • To determine the widespread impact of Covid 19, Life expectancy for various categories of people across 29 Countries has been analysed.

  • The reference years taken to compare the life expectancy are 2015,2019 and 2020.

  • Male Life Expectancy in general is lower when compared to females and it seems to decrease a bit during 2020.

  • No Doubt the year 2020 has been a tough year for the nations because of the Covid 19 pandemic. Even though the pandemic hit hard in 2020, the mean life expectancy of people decreased slightly when compared to years 2015 and 2019.

  • However, we can see that Males between the age group of 50 to 60 seems to show a considerable dip in their life expectancy in 2020.

  • So, from the data visualisations, we can say that its better to vaccinate Males between 50 to 60 years age group across the countries as they are more susceptible to the Covid 19 infection.
