Tweets Per Day
The below graphs is a collection of the number of times Kroger or Whole Foods was mentioned in a tweet. The first graph shows the overall number of tweets over the 10 day period. The graph immediatley below the first is a breakdown by day for the two companies.
Both graphs demonstrate that Kroger is more popular on social media than Whole foods. However, the tweets by day graph shows that customers of both retailers follow a similar trend and tweet more about their preferred retailer on Thursday and Friday.

To understand more about the consumer who is shopping at Kroger and Whole Foods, I have investigated the platform which is being used to post to twitter. The first graph shows the top 5 platforms used. The result indicates the iPhone platform being the favorit for both retailers. in second place is a platform called “Twitter Web App” (this is true for both retailers), and thrid place is held by Android for both retailers.
The outcome of this graph shows that customers of both retailers again follow a similar trend. Using an iPhone to tweet about their preferred retailer is most common for both retailers. Second was a Twitter Web App followed closley by the Android operaton system.
What is the average amount of followers that a user has that is tweeting about Kroger and Whole Foods?
The outcome of the final graph shows that customers that prefer Kroger have far more followers than the customers of Whole Foods. This has significant benefit for Kroger because they are able to reach a much greater audience when they are tweeted about compared to Whole Foods.
