Who is Scott Steehler?

Hello! My name is Scott and I am currently a part-time student in the M.S. in Business Analytics program. In my free time I like to work on projects around my house and. Lately, all of my time has been dedicated to my son who was born this summer!

Academic Background

Professional Background

I currently work at the University of Cincinnati as a Program Manager in the Housing office. In this role, I am responsible for management of the contracting portal, data reporting, and special projects. Prior to my current role, I worked at a number of other universities including Virginia Tech and Indiana University.

Experience with R

I have been worked in R for two classes over the past year in addition to learning via independent study. I would say that I am still an entry R user, but it is quickly growing on me. I have especially enjoyed seeing how R accomplishes tasks that I would previously tackle in Python.

My background with other analytic platforms comes from a combination of class, online courses (DataCamp), and my current position at UC.
