Hello! My name is Yongguang Yang. I was from China and have been working at UC College of Medicine for 10 years. I am currently a full-time Research Associate at UC College of Medicine and a part-time student in the BANA program. I enjoy cooking and spending time with my two sons!

Academic Background

Ph.D in Developmental Biology from Chinese Academy of Sciences.
MS. in Preventative Veterinary Medicine from Yangzhou University.
Bs. in Veterinary Medicine from Anhui Science and Technology University.

Professional Background

I have 10+ years of research experience in developmental and cancer biology, focusing on stem cells in both normal and malignant tissues. I have worked with clinical breast cancers as well as various in vitro and in vivo breast cancer models. I have 5+ years of research experience in targeting breast cancer stem cells to overcome treatment resistance. Experience with R and Other Languages

I just started to learn R after joined the BANA program, knowing some basic things but mostly still rely on googling for programming and trouble shooting. Other languages I have chances to come into contact with including SAS and Python, both of then even did not reach the entry level.
