Social Assistance
In this document we present data on the disbursement of social help packages. In this case, data is presented through maps, which track the disbursement of two three monetary transfers (Navidad, IFE, and Solidarity Fund) and one non-monetary transfer (food boxes). Although the temporal scope of each program differs widely, and the available information was limited, we can observe that the territorial distribution of monetary vs. non-monetary transfers differs widely. Those differences, according to our preliminary analyses relates to the fact that non-monetary transfers were more discretionally allocated.
Data was obtained through the Transparency Portal of the Chilean Government.
