In this webpage, I report some summary statistics generated using the Police Citation database publicly available at http://portal.louisvilleky.gov/dataset/uniformcitation-data. These data were release on the request of Mayor Greg Fisher to the public. There are over 900,000 citations in the database.

All of the following anaysis is done using R and R Markdown. Both are free to the public.

First, these are summaries based off the entire database.

The percent of citations going to women is 0.3184. The percent of citations going to people from KY is 0.9141.

We now do the same analysis, but only for speeding tickets.

The percent of Speeding Tickets going to women is 0.4028. The percent of Speeding Tickets going to people from KY is 0.8363.
