This hex map displays the share of votes won by each Member of Parliament during the Malaysian General Elections in 2018. Voters in seats where the percentage of votes won by the MP are lower are more likely to flip those seats in the next General Elections. These seats appear lighter in colour in the map below.
This is a hex map. A hex map uses uniformly-sized hexagons to represent geographical objects. This is done to represent the equal representative power among MPs in spite of any variation in the size of population or geographical area of their constituencies.
The colour of the hexagons represent the percentage of votes won by the MP in 2018, where deeper intensity indicates higher share of votes.
The numbers inside the hexagons represent the number of seats in each category.
