Aftermath of COVID-19 on Chinese economy

Introduction

On 3rd Jan 2020 , Chinese officials provided information to WHO on the cluster of cases of ‘viral pneumonia of unknown cause’ identified in Wuhan, China.

In China, from 3 January 2020 to 3:27pm CEST, 5 June 2021, there have been 113,565 confirmed cases of COVID-19 with 5,033 deaths, reported to WHO. As of 13 May 2021, a total of 388,313,603 vaccine doses have been administered.

We take a look at a few economic indicators in China during this period - Shanghai Stock exchange Index, Unemployment rates, Government Expenditure, Revenue , Exports and Imports,
