My Coding Goals This Week

  1. Watching Week 1 R Markdown videos on YouTube & get my head around the basics of starting to code
  2. Have a go at using all the different elements of coding in writing my learning log this week

How I Made Progress Towards My Goals

  • Successes
    • Completed Week 1 videos and currently publishing my first learning log
    • While I encountered a few hiccups, I was able to work through most of the errors by re-watching the videos and using Google!
    • Also started to Google a few things like how to centre align images to make the aesthetic a little more organised… (small wins!)
  • Challenges
    • Although I have had a little experience using HTML/CSS, R feels like a completely new daunting language!
    • I am a little overwhelmed, but also determined to keep on keeping on with the videos and Googling. \(letsdothis^2\)

Next Steps in My Coding Journey

  • Continue watching next week’s videos on Data Visualisation and keep practicing my coding
  • Start thinking about the practical applications of how I could use coding and R Markdown in my research projects
