Shown in the first plot is the percent change of volume traded for each stock. In order to make them more comparable we have included the second plot which is the volume traded of all the stocks through this time period. Two instances that highlight the reason to present both plots are October 8th 2020 and January 27th 2021.
After mid-late January, the volume of GME and AMC skyrocket. This is due to the attention that these stocks received after the GME short squeeze.
Similarly to the previous window the first plot presents the percent change in stock price of each of the stocks and the second plot presents the stock price of the stocks. One date to look closely at is January 26-27 of 2021.
This plot shows the average volume traded by each of the stocks by month. As you can see there are two clear outliers that both peaked in January. This is indicative of the previous volume traded plot shown. However when referring back to the stock price plot it is evident that GME’s stock price was far higher than AMC’s.
| Company | Adj_Max | Adj_Min | Vol_Max | Vol_Min |

This table focuses in on the maximum and minimum stock price and volume for the month of January for all of the stocks. This allows us to more clearly see the comparison between the massive jump in price and volume traded of GME versus all the other four stocks.
