This report summarizes how each team fared this season. Let me know if you have any questions or suggestions for stuff to add next season!
Roto Standings Over Time
This chart shows the standings for if we were in a roto league, where each team is ranked by how well they did in each stat category (10 points for 1st place, 1 for last). Jeff led for nearly the entire season and my team closed the gap to just one point in the end. Six of the top seven teams in the roto standings made the playoffs, with Brett G’s 5th place finish in these standings differing from his 7th place finish in the actual standings. The below charts are interactive, so you can hover over the points on each team’s line to see how they progressed in the standings.
Weekly Average Stat Charts
Click on each stat category to see how your team has progressed in each category over the season. Please note that I tried to adjust Week 1 values to a normal week, but did not adjust Week 15, which spanned the All Star Break. I’ll revisit this methodology next season. Below the chart is a list of the 10 best weeks for each category. Note: I took out Weeks 1 and 15 for all counting stats since they were longer than the typical week.

Best Weeks Overall
This table showcases the top 10 overall weeks of the season (Weeks 1 and 15 excluded). This is done by comparing the stats each team put up to every other manager in every other week, and arriving at the average number of expected wins. Jeff’s Week 7 ends as the best week anyone had all season. That output would average 8.90 wins over the course of the season - that’s really good! Five different teams are represented on this list.

Actual vs Expected Wins
The actual vs expected wins have spread out a bit as the season has gone along. While 6 teams ended within +/- 3 wins, there are two teams that have been fairly unlucky (Brett G and Nicole) and two teams that have had some good fortune (myself and Kevin). I’m curious how this will look next year and will be keeping an eye on ways to make this a better signal of good and bad luck and the impact on the standings.

7 of 10 teams are represented on this list on the season.

League Activity
The plot below shows where everyone ranks in total games played, total innings pitched, wins (size of bubble), and acquisitions made (color of bubble). You can hover over each dot to view the values. I think this highlights how there are different strategies to having success in fantasy baseball.
Team Summaries
I made these spider plots mostly because they look cool, but you can also get a relative sense of strengths and weaknesses compared to the rest of the league.

Compare to Previous Seasons
We’ve had the same format for a number of years now, so I thought it would be interesting to compare how everyone is doing to prior seasons. I’ve also included an “overall” tab to compare league-wide trends over the years. The offensive categories generally finished up lower than in past seasons while ERA and WHIP set record lows for our league. Quality Starts and Save-Holds were also down and mirror the MLB trend of leaning more on the bullpen. What else stands out from these charts?
Note: The black dashed line is the league average over all seasons.

Transactions
A lot of transactions were made throughout the season as teams tried to stream pitchers and find players that would be key contributors during the playoffs. The below tabs show various aspects of the transactions that were made this season. While Shane McClanahan was picked up 7 total times, Madison Bumgarner and Jameson Taillon hold the distinction of being picked up by 4 different fantasy teams throughout the season. The Yankees led the way with the most player adds, followed by the A’s and Red Sox. Starting pitchers were the most popular pickups, mainly due to streaming, while Catchers were the position that saw the least activity on the waiver wire. What else stands out from these charts?
