The Wilks Coefficient, or Wilks Score is a mathematical formula used to compare the relative strengths of powerlifters across weight classes and across gender.

We've created an application that calculates your Wilks Score and deployed it using Shiny, this presentation introduces our application and gives some background on what the Wilks Score is.

Background Information


The Wilks Score can be a useful tool to track strength progression through bulk-cut cycles and compare lifters of different bodytypes
  • The Wilks Coefficient has been used by the International Powerlifting Federation to compare weightlifters across weight classes
