It is often said that the best water in world can be drank in New York City. This is due to the fact that its water supply comes from the Catskill Mountains. A little unknown fact is that once the water makes its journey down to the city, it is sometimes retained in tanks of buildings it serves. There are various technical benefits to doing this, but one disadvantage is the maintenance requirements to keep water clean. NYC Open Data publishes data from various city agencies, one of which are the inspections for water tanks in the city. As a part of this project, I will perform data manipulations, statistical analysis and visualizations. In addition, I will attempt to apply the visualizations geospatially.
