In this report we aim to answer two questions: Across the United States, which types of events are most harmful with respect to population health and which types of events have the greatest economic consequences? According to the data, Tornado is the most powerful event caused most death & injury and damage to econmic.
The dataset is from U.S. National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s (NOAA) storm database. This database tracks characteristics of major storms and weather events in the United States, including when and where they occur, as well as estimates of any fatalities, injuries, and property damage. The dataset records event starting in the year 1950 and end in November 2011. First, we load the whole dataset.
